Mission Matters believes that when organizational leadership is focused and empowered, mission impact is strengthened and the community as a whole benefits.

“You’ve got to think about big things while you’re doing small things, so that all the small things go in the right direction.”—Alvin Toffler

“Every success story is a tale of constant adaption, revision and change.” —Richard Branson

We are a group of facilitators and consultants who provide a variety of customized services including coaching, board capacity building, strategic planning, leadership development, culture development, facilitation and virtual facilitation.

Our clients include businesses, nonprofits and philanthropists. We help socially responsible organizations positively impact their communities.

Mission Matters has three core values that guide our work

Integrity

We are committed to the highest standard of excellence and integrity in all that we do: strategic planning, coaching, consulting and facilitation.

Practical &
Useful

Our clients have no room for useless theories and neither do we. We work with our clients to develop ideas that result in practical plans with timelines and accountability.

Co-creation

We strategically partner with our clients to co-create organizational plans and strategies that align with their highest goals, utilize their inherent strengths, and combine their best contributions. We hold space and time to allow creative thought to emerge, for healthy interaction to flow and for consensus to build.

Impact

“Mission Matters offers organizations the tools to grow their capacity at all levels, foster collaborative relationships, and implement strategic thought into processes that need it most.”—Grand Island Community Foundation

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Mission Matters is proud to partner with organizations taking on the most difficult and complex issues in our communities and we work hard to gain their trust and add value to their work. As facilitators, trainers, and coaches, we are called upon to create inclusive spaces where every voice may be heard and valued. Because Mission Matters’ clients are each in their own way trying to create stronger communities and a better world, they, and we, can only be successful if we fully integrate equity and racial justice into our daily work.

Mission Matters recognizes that we approach our work from a position of privilege. This privilege demands we commit to continuous learning and accept our responsibility to work for justice and equity now and as we learn and evolve in this work. We will draw from a wide variety of methods to center diversity, equity, and inclusion in our work. We will seek opportunities to partner with diverse talented associates.
